Guarnaschelli Maria Guarnaschelli's daughter , is a cookbook editor. Guarnaschelli graduated from Barnard College in 1991 with an education in art history. In 1991 , she was employed for an hourly wage at a place known as an American Place for one year. Guarnaschelli began her culinary journey in the kitchen of her mother, watching her cook and edit recipes. Guarnaschelli began her career with Larry Forgione. Her son Marc Forgione was the Iron Chef. Guarnaschelli continued to work at various restaurants throughout France as well as Los Angeles. Guy Savoy runs La Butte Chaillot. Prior to joining Butter the restaurant, she served as an executive chef at the Patina restaurant, owned by Daniel Boulud and at Joachim Splichal's Patina. She was the executive chef of The Darby restaurant until its closure. She is chair of the Museum of Food and Drink's Culinary Council. Guarnaschelli released her first cookbook in the year 2013. "Old School Comfort food: How I Learned how to cook" is a collection of autobiographical stories along with her top recipes from her books she's modified for her own home.
