Kari Samantha Wuhrer (born April 28th 1997) was an American actress and singer. She began her professional career as an teen and is most well known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), who is a payroll manager, and German American Andrew Wuhrer, who was a police officer as well as a automobile salesman. The couple has three brothers. While she was a kid, Wuhrer sang at nightclubs, and then went on to perform. When she began studying acting at Wooster School at the age of 13, she studied drama in New York University's Tisch School of the Arts located at Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. Then, she took classes in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. She was born in Brookfield Connecticut on April 28, she was raised there. Her mother works as an accountant for payroll, while her father, a German-American, is a policeman and car salesperson. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. As a teenager, she sang at nightclubs while slipping out to do a show. Kari at the time was 13 years old studied at the Wooster School and Tisch School of the Arts of New York University. She took drama classes in Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College, Marymount Manhattan College College, plus at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in which she was taught by a professor known as Uta. Kari began performing in her teens, with her first TV break coming from 1987's MTV Remote Control.
