Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy (born April 16th, 1996) was born in Miami Florida. Dennis Alan Taylor was a former Banker. Jennifer Marina Joy worked as a psychotherapist. Her father, an Argentinean of Scottish and English descendant is also her mother. Her mother is of Spanish and English heritage. She was the first born of a clan that included six children. Four are her siblings of the marriage that she had with Taylor's dad. Family resided at Buenos Aires up until Taylor-Joy was 6 years old, after which they moved to the Victoria district of London. Taylor-Joy says that moving into London was difficult and she did not take the time to learn English so that she could avoid returning to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend following her departure from Northlands. She then enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she took dance classes and appeared in productions. When she was 16, she quit school to pursue a profession as an actress full-time. From a young age Taylor-Joy knew that she wanted to become an actress and her dreams came true when she was given an opportunity to model by Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
